Led by Valentino Rossi, MotoGP riders are considering a protest against the violent security crackdown in Tibet. The protest would take place at the Chinese Grand Prix on May 4 in Shanghai.
"All the world is with Tibet," Rossi told Reuters. "But we need to be careful, or else they will arrest all of us."
If the protest goes ahead, it will provide further impetus for those
proposing a boycott of the Beijing Olympics' opening ceremony.
"I am 100 percent behind Tibet. We know that to demonstrate against the
Chinese regime is dangerous but we will see if we can do something,"
said Loris Capirossi.
