The new Aerostich AD-1s are waterproof all-weather advanced-technology protective pants suitable for all types of riding. They provide the classic jeans-cut fit, with the waist at about the same location as the belt-line of your jeans (vs. Aerostich’s similar-looking Darien Pants which fit like khaki pants).

Full-length separating side zippers help the pants go on and off fast and feature inner and outer weather flaps to keep rain and wind out. Dual waistband side-snaps provide a custom-adjustable fit for all-season comfort and the front zippered fly features a seam sealed inner gusset for enhanced water resistance.

These pants also include a removable Aerostich Money Belt and a gusseted crotch which allows greater all-day comfort for moving around in the saddle. AD-1s are available in two versions, regular and ‘light’, to better meet your exact requirements. The regular HT600D Nylon version uses a super strong and highly abrasion resistant three layer Gore-Tex fabric.

A lighter and slightly cooler option are the AD-1 Lights which use a HT200D Nylon Gore-Tex, about two thirds as abrasion resistant as the regular AD-1’s and well suited for commuting and urban riding applications. Removable, custom-positionable oversize TF3 knee armor provides superior impact protection, and several styles of optional hip pads are available separately.

Large Scotchlight reflective ankle/calf adjustment tabs increase rear-conspicuity at night and feature radial hook and loop adjustments. Both main pockets have hook and loop cover flaps so you won't lose your change or bike keys when the pants are laid over the back of a chair. A generous vertical-zippered cargo pocket is located on top of the right thigh and a horizontal opening flapped cargo pocket is on top of the left thigh for additional storage.

Both versions are available in even waist sizes, 30–46, in regular and long lengths in Black, Grey or Tan. Additional product information and customer reviews can be found at Aerostitch.com.
