Watching These Two MotoGP Racers Go-Karting Makes Me Realize How Much I'm Going To Miss Them

There's nothing like onboard radio and some unscheduled offroading/getting lost to make your day that much more interesting.

As the current MotoGP season winds down, and we know where riders are going to land next year, there are always certain riders it's tough to say goodbye to. Here in 2026, while it's true that Jack Miller will be on a Yamaha team for 2027, it'll be the Pata Maxus Yamaha team over in World Superbike (WSBK), rather than remaining in MotoGP.

And you know what? As anyone who's seen what appears to be a hilarious working relationship between Miller and Pramac Yamaha teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu in action, I think it's safe to say we're going to miss that dynamic at play. That goes for their many and various social media antics, as well as on-track bits like you'll see in this video.

At the 2026 MotoGP Japan round at Motegi, racers competed against each other on four wheels for once. Well, sort of; they were go karts, complete with tall banners attached that displayed each racer's name and number so it was easier to keep an eye on who was where.

Why was Jack Miller carrying a banana the whole time? It's not clear whether he was channeling his inner Minion or Mario Kart aspirations. Still, even though their radio banter didn't end up helping Miller get a good place by the end, he was at least able to bring joy to some fans as he got lost and eventually went off-roading a bit while trying to find his way to the finish line.

What do you think?

It's a super fun video to watch, but for anyone who's been enjoying the rapport between the two teammates this year, it's also bittersweet. Here's hoping that on next year's grid, Toprak is able to bring MotoGP rookie Izan Guevara out of his shell as he acclimates to his new MotoGP surroundings from his previous years spent in the Moto2 paddock.

Meanwhile, Miller will line up alongside Andrea Locatelli in WSBK, so there's plenty to look forward to there, as well ... but just like breaking up a really good band, while it might be great, it definitely won't be the same.
