It's the 2026 Australian MotoGP weekend, and it's bittersweet this year for at least two reasons. One is, this will be Aussie racing hero Jack Miller's final race in the MotoGP series, and while he will be racing in World Superbike next year, it won't be the same.

And two, of course, is that this is the entire MotoGP paddock's extended goodbye weekend to the legendary Phillip Island circuit. The 500cc Motorcycle World Championship (predecessor to the modern MotoGP series) first touched down there in 1989, where another local hero, Wayne Gardner, neatly scooped up the very first series victory ever won on the circuit. While it's had its ups and downs, there's no doubt that many inside and outside the paddock will miss this very special place.

To send it off in style, Aprilia has developed a rather beautiful limited-edition RS 660 livery. It's one that simultaneously pays homage to the Philliip Island circuit and all it's meant to motorcycle racing in general, as well as calling attention (naturally) to Aprilia's own run of victories at that track. From WSBK to MotoGP, Aprilia proudly proclaims each and every one of its ten victories from a special badge found on the tank of the Phillip Island RS 660.

Finished in a beautiful green and white color scheme, you'll find the track layout and logo of the Phillip Island circuit commemorated on the side panels, along with a checkered flag. The wheels are red, there's a matching rear seat cowl to go with the special livery that's included with this bike, and the serial number of each of these special editions is engraved into the plate on the steering head.

What do you think?

Spec-wise, there's only one real change to note about the Phillip Island RS 660 versus the already-available RS 660, and that's Euro 5+ compliance. And if you're located in the US but worried we might miss out on this special edition, never fear: Piaggio Group Americas has announced both pricing and availability for this bike in our market!

The Aprilia RS 660 Phillip Island tribute is set to touch down in the US sometime in Q1 of 2027, at an MSRP of US $11,999. You can sign up for updates on Aprilia's website if you like. Considering that the MSRP of a regular RS 660, without the special Phillip Island graphics, is currently US $11,849, this limited edition seems like quite a bargain (especially if you really love it).
